The winners of the Telegraph Travel Awards for 2017 have been announced, and New Zealand has come in at number one for the fifth year in a row.

The top three travel destinations as voted by Telegraph readers have remained the same since 2013: New Zealand taking out the top spot, with the Maldives in second place and South Africa in third.
